1. Workshop Overview
United for Air NGO organised an interactive Bio-Enzyme Awareness Workshop at S.D. Senior Secondary School, Khandsa, Gurgaon, on 18 August 2026. More than 300 students participated in the session.
The workshop focused on bio-enzyme, waste management, fermentation and sustainable alternatives to conventional chemical cleaners.
2. Key Activities
Students were introduced to:
- The basic concept and preparation of bio-enzyme through fermentation.
- Converting citrus fruit peels and organic waste into a useful resource.
- Wet and dry waste segregation.
- Everyday applications of bio-enzyme.
- The importance of responsible and sustainable cleaning practices.
A live demonstration was conducted to make the concept practical and relatable. Students actively participated, asked questions and responded enthusiastically.
3. Impact
The workshop reached 300+ students and created awareness about turning everyday organic waste into a useful resource.
The interactive demonstration generated curiosity and helped students understand sustainability through a simple, practical and memorable experience.
4. Conclusion
The session successfully combined environmental education, practical demonstration and student engagement.
It encouraged students to rethink waste and understand that small everyday actions can contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable environment.
