Bioenzyme Workshop with Vasant Vihar High School's Green club

23rd October 2024

On 23rd October 2024, Nilima Mohite conducted an engaging Bioenzyme Workshop for the Green Club of Vasant Vihar High School. The club, comprising 40 enthusiastic students passionate about addressing environmental issues, hosted the workshop within the school premises.

The session introduced the students to the concept of bioenzymes, highlighting their role in reducing chemical waste and promoting eco-friendly living. Nilima demonstrated the simple process of creating bioenzymes using kitchen waste like fruit and vegetable peels. The students were captivated by the idea of turning everyday waste into a versatile, chemical-free solution for cleaning and agriculture.

In a hands-on activity, five students prepared their own bioenzymes during the session. They were encouraged to monitor the fermentation process at home and share their experiences. The workshop ended with a lively Q&A session, where the students showed immense curiosity and commitment to trying out bioenzymes themselves.

A follow-up session on composting was held a month later, where these five students proudly reported their results. Their successful experiments inspired their peers to explore similar sustainable practices.

The workshop was a meaningful step in empowering young minds to adopt eco-friendly habits and contribute to environmental conservation. Vasant Vihar High School's Green Club is now buzzing with ideas to take their green initiatives further, making the workshop a true success in nurturing the next generation of environmental stewards.
