Part and Parcel of G20 @ Mumbai University

21st April 2023

I am proud to be a Bio Enzyme enthusiast and wish to see it getting its due credit and acknowledgement. Also it feels nice to be part of PAN India group called BEA and having this platform where members share their knowledge and experience with each other. G20 was a great opportunity to meet the members in person and learn together more about Bio Enzyme. Though it was a great event considering its being first of its own and also Bio Enzyme itself a relatively new product in Sustainability Sector, still i have my opinion about the event and its agenda

  1. I feel the agenda of the G20 Bio Enzyme summit for the members of the BEA was to learn and have more insight about various applications, respective test reports  and scientific logic behind different applications. The paper presentation segment was a great opportunity to learn and get the answers to our respective queries related to different applications but the event was designed in a way that the members didnt get to know anything about different papers presented by researchers and practitioners. he other part where the speakers from other fields participated took more limelight whereas as

  2. BEA members, we should be attending the paper presentation segment. As expressed previously and as it was the first ever event, we can consider it as a pilot event and can iron out the shortcomings in the subsequent events. In my opinion, we as BEA members should be discussing and learning more about various applications and the scientific basis behind them. Also as we have planned to move ahead with zonal teams, it would make more sense if we all are on the same page and learning level to not create any ambiguity and equivocality.

Other than this i didnt find anything important to be mentioned here. Rest of the things were related to arrangements which were unimportant and can be corrected in future events. I am sure we can smoothen and iron out the deficiencies by taking the feedback in positive and  welcoming way. I also appreciate the hard work and efforts put in by National President Ms Priti and other team members in Bangalore for putting the event together.

I also offer my voluntary services in the best possible ways for future events. Overall it was a memorable event with fun and learnings.

Thanks

Be Blessed by the Divine!

My knowledge /  experience on environmental care and sustainable living were limited to only the products or applications, whether it is food or any general commodity we use in our day to life to achieve the prime motto.

Whereas, the real journey started as a proud member of Bio enzymes Entrepreneurs Academy, particularly this season G20 summit has taken my goals to "Ask bigger than the biggest" in achieving Dr. Rosukan's directions "Everyone 1000 millions B(Bio Enzymes) do it, the World will be Cooler by next day".... "Just Do It"!

In addition to BEA, i had the great Opportunity to meet scientists, result oriented members, farmers and enthusiastic entrepreneurs.

Most important item to highlight is, ideas for training at rural areas and new collaborations.

Thank you BEA.

G20 SUMMIT on Environment Sustainability and Bio-enzymes held at University of Mumbai was one of its kind for 2 reasons: one, the global summit was jointly held by academia and NGO i.e. by University of Mumbai and Bio-enzymes Entrepreneurs Academy; two, it was unique as it truly represented people from different sections and walks of life - from Maharashtra Minister of Environment, stalwarts in academia to students, entrepreneurs, industrialists and farmers. It created an intellectually stimulating environment which was also inclusive, warm and fulfilling.

The summit was well organised. The accommodation for outstation guests was good. (i) Few suggestions to improvise for successive conferences: Inform about time allocated for paper presentation at least a week before to the presenters. (ii) inform about time slots and venue at least a day before the summit (iii) maintain strict time-line for the first few presenters, so that the later presenters will also get time to present. Many couldn’t present for the full time allocated to them and a few couldn’t present at all (iv) presenters had no audience - announcing in the summit beforehand and for the students of the university will create more audience.

The way forward, is essentially to materialise the intentions and goals set during the summit. In doing so, I believe the following steps will help: 1. Every person who attended the summit to identify: (a)the area of interest to work (b)join the group and zone interested 2. Admin team to come up with a 12 months, 3 months and monthly time lines for the goals set for summit. 3. Hold pan BEA monthly meetings for sharing progress and assessment of the same 4. Include international members who attended the meeting Personally my interest area - Research and Development I would also like to collaborate with those in PR group for popularising science of BE amongst commoners and students Thanks & Regards, Suhasini Kalyani Research Co-ordinator, BEA

It was an honour to be the compere at the G20 summit on Environment sustainability and Bio-enzyme held on 21st April 2023 at the Mumbai University. The session was packed with eminent personalities viz., scientist, researchers, Principal Secretaries, academicians and speakers. The inaugural session saw some very interesting thoughts put forth by Padmashree Shri Sharad Kaleji, Former Head Technology Transfer Division, BARC. He gave an insight into turning garbage into soil and explained its importance to the farmers of this country. It is a ready nutrition for the agricultural seeds and plants. We also had former Principal Secretary and the current Principal Secretary, Shri Rajeevji and Praveen Darade ji, Environment Ministry, Govt of Maharashtra who spoke about the budgets allocated for the purpose of safeguarding environment and the current projects undertaken by the Maharashtra government for cleaning and preserving the environment. We also had Dr Sheshadri Chariji and Shri Gopal Arya ji who spoke about the continuous efforts that need to be made to continue the work on preserving and protecting the environment.

My takeaways from the conference were:

  • There is so much to do in regards to the environment

  • Its not just enough to blame the government but it is each one’s responsibility to wake up and work on the Earth. It belongs to all of us and we all need to ensure that it stays clean and green.

  • It is a difficult task but not an impossible one - If we educate the people with the right weapon of Bio-enzyme instead of chemicals across our day and life – not only will the Earth be cleansed but we humans will also gain health and peace of mind.

  • Bio-enzyme needs to penetrate at deeper levels along with the knowledge of where and how to use it to get the best results. Learning about the various uses of Bio-enzyme was quite an eye opener for me.

  • I also learnt about cleaning of water bodies in various ways, working on cleaner feeder channel and how to sustain it for a longer time.

  • I learnt about people who are working on various avenues to clean the air water and soil.

Overall it was quite a learning for me and I would like to work more closely on these areas of concern
