My First Experience on Stage: A Journey of Mixed Emotions and Personal Growth - By Rachna Singhal

It was a very new and exciting experience full of mixed emotions. Being on the stage for the very first time, taking my first session for the awareness of bioenzyme, gave me goosebumps. Doing all the preparations—from making samples to preparing myself to present—I was very nervous. But the moment I was on stage and started talking to the audience, it went so smoothly.

From talking about what bioenzyme is, how to make it, uses of the product, its benefits, and moving towards a sustainable environment, all the teachers showed great interest. This actually made me feel that every individual has the capability to fly; it is just that you need to grab the opportunity. For this, I would like to thank Priti Rao Ma’am, who motivated me a lot, Mrs. Gitanjali Grover, the school principal, who herself offered me the stage after our first conversation over the topic, and, last but not least, my family, who were continuously helping and supporting me.

Embracing the Challenge

As I stood backstage, waiting for my name to be announced, a whirlwind of emotions swept through me. I had spent weeks preparing for this moment, yet the reality of it felt overwhelming. The task ahead seemed daunting: to educate an audience on the importance of bioenzymes, a topic close to my heart, but one I had never publicly spoken about before.

Bioenzymes are organic solutions produced by the fermentation of fruit and vegetable peels with sugar and water. They are an eco-friendly alternative to chemical cleaners and pesticides, contributing significantly to a sustainable environment. My goal was to raise awareness about these benefits and encourage more people to adopt this practice.

The Preparation Journey

The journey of preparation was intense. From researching the intricacies of bioenzyme production to creating visual aids and samples, every step demanded meticulous attention. I rehearsed my speech countless times, tweaking and refining it until I felt confident. Despite this, the thought of facing a live audience made my heart race.

My mentor, Priti Rao Ma’am, played a crucial role in this phase. Her unwavering support and encouragement were invaluable. She believed in my potential even when I doubted myself, pushing me to step out of my comfort zone. Her guidance was a beacon of light in moments of uncertainty.

Taking the Stage

The moment finally arrived. As I walked onto the stage, a wave of calm washed over me. The sea of faces in the audience seemed less intimidating than I had imagined. With a deep breath, I began my presentation.

I spoke about the origins of bioenzymes, explaining the simple yet effective process of creating them at home. Demonstrating the samples I had prepared, I highlighted their versatility and environmental benefits. The audience's engagement was palpable; their curiosity and interest fueled my confidence.

Impact and Reflection

Seeing the teachers' enthusiastic responses was incredibly rewarding. They asked insightful questions, eager to learn more and implement bioenzymes in their own lives. This interaction reinforced my belief in the power of knowledge sharing and community action.

Reflecting on this experience, I realize that every individual indeed has the capability to fly. Opportunities for growth and learning are all around us; we just need the courage to seize them. I am deeply grateful to Mrs. Gitanjali Grover, the school principal, who recognized my passion and provided me with this platform. Her support was instrumental in making this event possible.

A Heartfelt Thank You

Lastly, I cannot overstate the importance of my family's support throughout this journey. Their constant encouragement and assistance were the pillars of my strength. From helping with the preparation of materials to offering moral support, they were with me every step of the way.

This experience has been a significant milestone in my life. It has taught me the value of perseverance, the importance of community, and the joy of sharing knowledge. I look forward to many more opportunities to spread awareness and contribute to a sustainable future.
