Empowering Future Entrepreneurs: A Bioenzyme Session at BMS College of Engineering

On February 1st, 2025, Green@Edu by Forests by Heartfulness hosted an insightful session on Whys, Whats, and Hows of Bioenzyme at BMS College of Engineering, with Bioenzyme Entrepreneurs Academy (BEA) as the knowledge partner. The event was organized in collaboration with the Entrepreneur Development Cell (ED Cell) and Environment Management System (EMS) of the college, aiming to introduce students to the power of bioenzymes in sustainability and social entrepreneurship.

A Well-Received Interactive Session
The session saw an enthusiastic turnout of 60 students from the Computer Engineering department. Right on schedule, the event commenced with a warm welcome from the faculty members, a few dedicated student interns, and BEA member Nithin from Pagwada, who volunteered to support the session.

During the discussion, students actively engaged in understanding the significance of bioenzymes in waste, water, and soil management. The session provided a deep dive into how bioenzymes can contribute to environmental sustainability and serve as a foundation for social entrepreneurship.

Key Takeaways

  • Journey of Social Entrepreneurship: Students gained insights into how bioenzymes are not just about sustainability but also about creating economic and social impact.
  • Practical Applications: The importance of bioenzymes in waste management, water purification, and soil enrichment was explored, showcasing their role in reducing environmental toxicity.
  • Inspiration for Innovation: The interactive discussions sparked ideas for sustainable ventures, inspiring students to explore entrepreneurship as a viable career path.

A Step Towards Future Collaborations

One of the most exciting outcomes of this session was the college’s interest in conducting an Entrepreneurship Talk specifically for faculty members. This presents a valuable opportunity to extend awareness beyond students, enabling educators to integrate sustainable entrepreneurship into their curriculum and mentorship.

Green@Edu by Forests by Heartfulness, along with BEA as the knowledge partner, looks forward to continuing this collaboration and bringing more such insightful sessions to academic institutions, empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs committed to sustainability.

Stay tuned for more updates on our journey towards a greener, toxin-free world!
