Chitkara University, Himachal Pradesh, organized an informative and engaging session on “Bioenzyme for Education, Employment, and Environment” on November 9, 2024. The session aimed to highlight the potential of bioenzymes in promoting sustainable development, education, and job creation.
The session featured Ms. Priti Rao , the President of the Bioenzyme Entrepreneurs Academy of India (BEA), based in Bangalore, who shared valuable insights into the significance of bioenzymes in fostering eco-friendly practices. Her talk emphasized how bioenzymes can contribute to a cleaner environment, educational advancement, and employment opportunities in the green sector.
Following her talk, Mr. Satish Jain , the Chief Enzyme Officer of BEA from Raipur, led an engaging hands-on workshop on the process of making bioenzymes. This interactive session allowed attendees comprising approximately 150 students and staff from various departments, including Housekeeping, Horticulture, and Mess to gain practical experience in creating their own bioenzymes. The hands-on approach not only deepened participants' understanding of the environmental benefits of bioenzymes but also equipped them with the skills to implement these practices in their daily routines.
The event was successfully organized by the Centre for Excellence for Sustainability, in collaboration with NSS and the Ecolution Club. The session culminated with attendees taking a collective pledge to work towards a clean and green Earth, reinforcing the importance of environmental responsibility. The event was well-received by all, successfully raising awareness and providing practical skills for sustainable living.
